emiliano caisso
Just like yesterday morning, here’s some typographic goodness to kick off the day. This time, coming from designer Emiliano Caisso.
aron jancso
Do you know why I like typography so much? Because I’m not good at it. Seriously, making something good + typographic is FUCKING HARD. So much respect is due to those folks that can manipulate type to the extent that it becomes wholly artistic. Like you, Aron Jancso.
louis reith at little paper planes
The newest artist to join the ranks at Little Paper Planes is Louis Reith, an Amsterdamn-based artist whose work “explores the typographical forms beyond readability + seem to abstractly document arctic voyages of the past.” I can certainly get on board with that.
Louis’ prints are available as a set of four or individually + they’re [...]
may fade in direct sunglight
My friend Andy Smith, who you may remember from this post, sent over his newest publication this week. I’ve been waiting to see something cool printed up with the Newspaper Club, and Andy doesn’t disappoint. The paper contains 12 of his typographic posters + is limited to 500 “editions”.
status by dynamo [giveaway!]
Montreal design shop Dynamo have put together this amazing little book called Status (and Statut, it’s bi-lingual). The book is a collective musing on what we say over social media networks. Dynamo collected 88 pages worth of the best broadcasts, ranging from hilariously off-kilter to a dark + cryptic. It’s also beautifully designed, front to back. [...]
dopludo
DOPLUDO is a pretty amazing street art/graphic design/illustration/package design/everything else that’s cool art collective from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. They’ve done some mind-blowing interiors (see below), big-ass murals + impressive sculptures all while maintaining the original aesthetic from their design work.
Romain Albertini
Romain Albertini is really, very…European. He produces angular, severe graphic design + illustration. Geometry is clearly his muse + he manipulates angles with a serious enthusiasm. Peep the polygonal Nike’s + the font made out of only 7’s on his site.
Andy Smith
Happy Friday, everyone! I know I’ve expressed my love for hand-painted signage before, so I was really excited to hook up with UK illustrator Andy Smith, who has a bundle of awesome hand-painted typographic work in his portfolio. I love this stuff.
