Mos Def-The Tournament (unreleased)
OK, so this isn’t exactly breaking news but I just came across a new unreleased Mos Def joint. The Tournament is a nasty track that fell to the cutting room floor during recording of The Ecstatic. Sadat X used that same Godfather sample back on Experience and Education + I’ve loved it ever since. Mighty Mos takes it for a nice spin.

Has anyone heard that song Mos and Talib (Black Star, duh) did on Chapelle’s Show, “What’s Beef?” I can’t find a recorded version of it anywhere, but Mos’ verse is one of his best, I think.
