I don’t know much about Cotelito but I totally love these super textured oil paintings. At first glance, they look like the kind of weird 70’s paintings you find at a goodwill but look closer + you’ll discover some truly unnerving scenarios playing out. Smiling monsters intermingling with smiling families, giant cat faces growing out of beards and yellow lava are just a few of these talented artitsts subjects.
